I asked the (in hindsight, probably clueless) sales guy what made other TV's more expensive, and he said it was "the processor". As I said, I've found many cheap ones that couldn't. When I bought my TV, my only concern was the ability to properly and sharply display 1080p from a computer over HDMI. Of all the solutions however, I would probably just go for the HDMI Atom dongle. The fact that you have signal and then it disappears leads me to believe that the HDMI port on that laptop may have weak signal strength or having difficulties with the handshake. Ya it works, it also doubles as a HDMI signal booster. Does it work? It seems pricey, but when I think about it, I'd much rather pay $100 than have 2-3 years of crappy HDMI performance from my current setup. I basically started the capture, went to, waited about 30 seconds, then hit back so I can regain my Firefox, stopped capturing, and uploaded.Never heard of the HDMI Dr. Google Store's Chromecast is very slow in Firefox.Https:///product/chromecast I’m partial to the charcoal but the chalk look cool too. I have two of them, one paired with a Sony Bravia. Just so were' clear, you mean the $50 Chromecast with Google TV, not the $30 Chromecast, correct? If so, then you will have the newest interface. Question regarding moving from Android TV with built-in chromecast to chrome cast dongle I have seen people suggest the Chromecast solution where I would run the Steam Link app but I am not sure where I would land performance-wise. If I wanted to connect them through an HDMI cable, it would have to be at least 7-8 meters long and the HDMI 2.1 cables (which supports ) that I found online are mostly 3 meters long max. The problem is the desktop is too far away from the TV. Need some advice on how to utilize my TV as a monitor Maybe this is about Casting rather than Chromecast? It does have an option to resume playback where you left off, but it's not enabled by default. I find navigating through the media (forward, back, skipping to chapters, etc.) much more convenient than in VLC. If you're listening on a Windows pc, I highly recommend. Libation Chardonnay - v8.3 - Linux beta :) If you rip to MVC MKV first then PotPlayer is probably an easier option: Video > 3D Video Mode > MVC 3D Output Mode > SBS at Full Resolution. How can I play 3D Blu-Rays in Oculus Quest 2 from the disc? These are just my suggestions, do whatever you want. For download tools, there are also JDownloader and WFDownloader which are both impressive. You might want to consider qBittorrent as an alt to uTorrent which has a bad reputation on reddit. I've compiled a small list of free software that most people don't know about, but have really helped me over the years. It has other features such as remembering where you left off if you close and re-open the player. It can increase/decrease playback speed from 0.2x to 12x in 0.1 increments. Media player for Windows, not bloated, and with playback speed functionality.ĪFAIK potplayer is fairly bloat free. Or if you use chrome, use this extension, so it's easier for you to right-click, then open the m3u link on PotPlayer, so it's updated to their system/database. For TV streaming, you can download IPTV m3u playlist from here, here, or here. Video/TV streaming, I'd recommend PotPlayer as video player (even audio any player/streamer).
